I’m AJ (Avery Judge). My sci-fi and fantasy worlds explore the edges of technology, myth, and human survival. I write because it’s my lifelong dream (and it’s fun!) — and I share my books, updates, and experiments here for readers who want to come along for the ride.
I think the first novels I read were the Sci-Fi masterpieces from Arthur C. Clarke. I quickly branched out to Fantasy novels, and somewhere in those early days my dream to become a writer took hold. Unfortunately, my road to becoming an author was fraught with many a detour. Yet, because of persistence and maybe luck, I’m still standing, and finally, my dream came true.
The two dogs in the photo? Not mine, alas. They belong to my best friend, though I love them nonetheless. That picture was taken on a road trip to Reno, Nevada, where my friend and her two beloveds participated in the AKC Agility Championships.
